‘Unlink Account’ Doesn’t Delete Your Instagram Account. On Instagram, you cannot disconnect your account by using the “Unlink Account” option. The option to link your Facebook profile is ostensibly deactivated by default, like other platforms shown under the Linked Accounts section of Instagram. Before Instagram shows the two accounts as linked, users must tap
Open your Facebook profile. From the left menu, choose Settings. Instagram should be selected as the platform. To link an Instagram account to your Page, go to Connect Account…. To remove an Instagram account, go on to Disconnect and confirm that you want to delete the account.
To remove a connected Instagram account, go to the “Delete Your Account” page in Instagram’s Help Center. Then, select “Delete Your Account,” login to the Instagram account you want to delete, and fill out the form to remove your account.
Log into Facebook and go to the left-hand menu. Select Settings from your Facebook page. In the left column, choose Instagram after scrolling down. Connect your Instagram account by clicking Connect Account then filling in your username and password.
Tap your profile icon from the Instagram home screen, then choose “Account” > “Linked Accounts” in the top right menu. Select the account you’d like to connect and provide your login details. You may link a variety of networks, including Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.
