Facebook responded to their data privacy scandal by removing the Activity Log feature on March 26, 2018. The Activity Log allowed users to view every user’s past Facebook activity for up to three months before being deleted or hidden from view. Facebook also did this to comply with requests from the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation. The GDPR requires that companies must provide a way for users to delete their personal data upon request.
To restore your Facebook activity log, navigate to the “Privacy Settings” on your account. Once you are there, click “View All” under “Activity Log”. You will then see a list of all past posts that you have made or commented on. Click the relevant time period and then click the post that you want to delete. It will not be deleted from your friend’s timeline but it will be removed from the activity log on your own profile page.
User activities and log data is stored in a temporary cache. The cache is cleared along with the browser after an inactivity period.
The following is jargon that I am able to understand:-Facebook user must log in to their account and go to the ‘activity log’ tab which is found on the left of the page. If they then click on the ‘View Activity Log’ button, they can see a list of everything they have done on Facebook.
If you’re missing your activity, you may be able to recover it by using the following steps:First, make sure you’ve powered down your device and connected to iTunes or iCloud. Then log out of the app on the device. Once logged out, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings (at your own risk). Now reboot your device and reconnect it with iTunes or iCloud.
The device is not working because the iPhones have a “locked” state. This is a security feature that has been designed to prevent unauthorized access to the device, as well as data stored on the device. In order for this state to be lifted, you will need to input your passcode into the phone.
According to one user, “it’s likely because you don’t have internet connectivity and thus aren’t receiving data from the Fitbit servers.” This can be fixed by opening up the app, then going into “More” under the “Activities” tab. From there it is possible to manually sync by tapping on the circle in the top-right of the screen and selecting “Sync Now.
A * is a symbol that informs of a word’s part of speech. For example, searched for *. Sought after was an adverbial form, meaning it is being used as an adjective.
Facebook is a social networking service that allows users to create a profile, add photos and videos, send text messages, and update their status. When a user posts content on Facebook they are prompted with “Active” in green letters when they leave the site. In this case the user was not shown as “Active” when leaving because they were running an ad blocking browser extension which prevents Facebook from tracking users activity.
The student’s active status is not working because the student might not have had an active status at one point in time and therefore does not have a file to bring back. The student may also be waiting for the release of an email from Student Success.
There are many ways to determine if someone is looking at your Messenger. One way is by the movement of their mouse. If it moves quickly or in a similar pattern to when they are typing out a message, then they are most likely looking at your account. Another way to tell if someone is viewing your account is by reading “private” messages that were sent to you.
The browsing history file in a web browser is a feature which records the websites you have visited, from which page you started from, and how long ago it was. This information is used by websites to track your internet usage and make it easier to navigate to pages that you have previously visited. Usually this file will be present in a browser’s cache folder and can easily be seen through a program such as File Explorer in Windows or Finder in Mac.
When a user deletes their browsing history from their device, they are also deleting the information from the servers related to that browsing history. When a user accesses this deleted data on their device, it is more difficult to find and will take additional time and effort to retrieve. The best way for a user to see their deleted history is by viewing their Google account of the service through which they accessed the web browser.
