What is a surveillance camera? 

A surveillance camera is mainly used for monitoring an area, a place, an office, a home, etc. Mostly a surveillance camera is used by the authorities such as officers who maintain the security of the place and those who enforce laws. Why is my Arlo camera not recording?

Firstly, you have to check whether or not all the wires and cables are connected to the right spot. The cables should be connected correctly to the camera and base station.  If that does not work out, another thing you need to do is check if there are any connectivity issues. Check the WiFi connection to the device. An Internet connection is necessary to make the device work. So if it is not working, try connecting it to a different WiFi network.  You can also remove all the cables and wires connected to your device and then connect it again after a few minutes.  Make sure that your Arlo camera is in the right position. People often prefer to install the Arlo cameras by themselves, but since they are not professionals there might be some issues in the alignment and placement of the camera. Make sure that you have placed the camera at a height that is mentioned in the Arlo camera’s manual or guidebook. The camera should be placed where it can cover a large area.  Another mistake that people often make is placing the camera at a place where its view is interrupted by other things such as trees, walls, etc. Make sure there are no obstructions in the view of the camera. Find the correct place for your camera.  If nothing is working up till now, you need to switch off your WiFi device and restart it.  Another thing that you can do is check the battery of your camera. The app shows its battery life and condition of it. The placement of batteries correctly inside the device is also important. The camera’s battery should be changed after every six months. The battery life of the camera is important. If your camera is showing a low battery life then change your batteries as soon as possible. Make sure that you charge your camera as well.  Lastly, if all of this does not work out you can try to reset your Arlo camera. This will lead to overcoming any technical problems.
