You may only have checked for a second and it will be gone in a few days if you’re using Instagram’s server technology. It is possible that you just checked too soon, and it will disappear entirely in a few days. If someone is logged into your account on another device, it may not be removed.
Following an account deletion request, Instagram states that your account and all of its contents will be permanently erased after 30 days, and you will not be able to retrieve it.

When you temporarily deactivate your account, all of your data is backed up, just as it was the moment you pressed the button. You can’t receive or send out DMs after you temporarily disabled your account.
According to Instagram, deleting your account takes about one month, but “copies of your material may remain after the 90 days in backup storage that we use to recover in the event of a disaster, software failure, or other data loss occurrence.
