If you act in a manner that is deemed to be unjust and misleading, your account may be deleted. You can block members of Plenty of Fish if you don’t want to receive messages from them anymore. Only a person who has messaged you can be blocked.
You can’t log in to your POF account if one of the following is true: You’ve forgotten your account password, or you’re entering the incorrect one. If this is the case, all you have to do is reset your password. Your POF profile may be under review.
Plenty of Fish has no stated policy for when inactive accounts are deleted. If you do not cancel or put your account on hold, your profile may be visible indefinitely. Do not count on Plenty of Fish to remove your profile after your death if you wish to keep it private.
If your account is being investigated for some reason, such as because another Plenty of Fish user reported it, it may be shut down temporarily. Wait two days before trying again. If you still can’t access your account, go back and review your recent activity on the account.
If your profile appears in search results, it indicates that POF has concealed it. If the profile does not appear at all, it has been removed. Another method to find out whether your profile has been deleted is to go through the messages you’ve had with other members.
